    Responsibilities

     

    We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Document Control Specialist to join our Product Development team.  The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail oriented, and well-versed in configuration control practices for engineering drawings and documentation. 

     

    The Document Control Specialist is responsible for the storage, organization, maintenance and control the company’s engineering documentation and records, adhering to the company's document lifecycle procedures while ensuring their accuracy, quality and integrity.

    • Maintains all internal documents in MasterControl document management system including loading, routing and releasing documents.
    • Enters data (parts, BOMs, etc) into ERP system to support new product development and Engineering Changes.
    • Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness in terms of presentation, such as format, etc.
    • Reviews Engineering Change Orders for completeness.
    • Assists with training employees on Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, and use of MasterControl.
    • Performs weekly quality reviews of MasterControl database to assure newly released documents have been entered using appropriate protocol.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:  An Associate’s degree with minimum of 3 years’ experience in document control and change management in a product development environment.  Will consider High School or GED with at least 7 years of experience in document control in a product development environment.  Highly technical industry or manufacturing experience is a plus. 

     

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Demonstrable understanding of the fundamentals of documentation control and product configuration management
    • Experience with Master Control or other document management database
    • Demonstrated strong writing and communication skills
    • Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience working within ISO 9001 certified environment
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • Experience with Microsoft AX or other ERP system is a plus
    • Ability to read and interpret blue prints is a plus      

    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

    • Primarily an office environment
    • Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment
