Responsibilities

 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our corporate network Infrastructure team.  The successful candidate will play an integral role supporting the corporate global network infrastructure and data centers activities.

 

The Data Center Administrator serves as a key member of the Infrastructure and Desktop Services team, responsible for improving system reliability and performance.

  • Patriciates in IT integration projects.
  • Proactively monitors and maintains all IT related assets and applications with a primary focus on our manufacturing IT environment.
  • Assists network and infrastructure design and support.
  • Manages multiple projects and implements solutions quickly with little supervision.
  • Documents and completes knowledge transfer of all system changes and enhancements to our helpdesk team.
  • Participates in rotational on-call support
  • Uses vulnerability assessment tools to implement scans and manage process of remediating security vulnerabilities.
  • Performs Backup Administration on Virtual and physical servers. (VMware and Unix).
  • Diagnoses system and application issues while engaging with other teams as needed
  • Performs administration and maintenance of windows 2008\2012\2016 virtual servers using VMware
  • Manages and troubleshoots Cisco VOIP systems.
  • Monitors network devices and server resources.
  • Provides reports using various tools on application response time and system up time.
  • Performs testing of system backup, participates in DR testing and compliance audits.
  • Reports on all routine maintenance tasks, including backups, server patches, and antivirus updates.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots VPN issues and two factor authentication issues.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Education:   Associates Degree in Business, Computer Sciences or related discipline is required.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

 

Experience:  Requires a minimum of 5 years of system administration experience in a global network environment.  Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

 

Candidate Must Have:

  • Experience with Active Directory Administration, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Administration
  • Experience with HP/Cisco switches, routers, wireless, and firewalls is a must
  • 2 years of scripting experience using PowerShell
  • Understanding VPN, and network protocols
  • Knowledge of LAN\Wan technologies, understanding of network protocols
  • Understands the complexities of global network environment and be able to identify, troubleshoot, and document network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Experience with HP bade servers and 3 par storage systems
  • Ability to automate tasks and processes.
  • 2 years’ experience with supporting hyper converged technology
  • Experience with helpdesk management software
  • Office 2016 Administration
  • Project Management experience is a plus
  • Microsoft and or Cisco certifications are a plus
  • Microsoft Dynamics support a plus
  • Must be able to travel to Danbury, CT location 3 to 4 days a week for the first three to six months for training.
  • After training, one day a week to Danbury, CT location will be required
