We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join FCE’s Legal Department in a corporate risk, insurance and surety analyst role in Danbury, Connecticut. Under supervision of a lawyer in the Legal Department, the Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of FCE’s internal and external insurance compliance and surety needs. In addition, this role will work closely with leaders across the organization in implementing and monitoring the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management Processes and corporate Insurance Programs.

  • Implements organizational strategy for mitigation of financial risks, including facility and business liability insurance and self-insurance programs. Conducts periodic reviews of insurance brokers and carriers.
  • Audits, monitors and reviews insurance documentation of all company vendors and contractors for compliance with contractual and corporate requirements.
  • Communicates company insurance requirements to both internal and external customers.
  • Manages the company’s portfolio of insurance policies.
  • Reviews existing and potential contracts for insurance and surety requirements.
  • Prepares and provides company-wide training programs regarding insurance and risk mitigation.
  • Responsible for electronic tracking system for insurance certificates, bonds and other forms of surety.
  • Key contributor to the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management program. Develops metrics and systems, as appropriate, to quantify and measure risk. Designs and maintains and/or sets expectations for meaningful reporting on Operational Risk issues, gaps, trends and overall risk profile.
  • May participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • May support and administer security programs in addition to risk management activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervising attorney and/or General Counsel.








Requires Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, operations engineering / management, or process control. Associate’s Degree may be considered with applicable experience.




7+ years in risk management, finance, legal and/or internal control / audit experience in progressively larger roles.


Candidate must have:

  • Strong risk and control skills, as demonstrated by previous work experience in fields such as risk management, insurance and or audit/testing
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret complex contract, insurance and surety documents, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Demonstrated managerial capabilities, with ability to effectively work across multiple business lines and functional areas;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to challenge the business areas on operational risk as well as the ability to convey risk exposure and requirements to business partners;
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management methodologies, including risk assessments, issue management, and other related activities;
  • Strong knowledge of insurance and surety products and customary contractual provisions and exclusions;
  • Strong business acumen with strategic business mindset;
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)


Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:


  • Must be able to physically work in an office environment, where work is sedentary
  • Must be able to work at our Danbury facility as needed
