Responsibilities

We have a great opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic, newly expanded logistics group.  The primary responsibility of this position is to support the organization and the warehouse team in the delivery of timely, accurate and efficient warehouse operations.

  • Performs receiving functions including entries into AX (our ERP system);
  • Performs warehouse transfers in AX;
  • Monitors and transacts Sales Orders in AX;
  • Works with Accounting for invoice resolution;
  • Works with Inventory Control to reconcile any discrepancies;
  • Orders warehouse supplies and processes credit card payments;
  • Schedules carriers to meet outbound shipping requirements;
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:  High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Experience/Skills:   2 years relevant experience.  Previous shipping and receiving experience in a high volume and multi-shift manufacturing environment preferred.  

 

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • High level of initiative and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of receiving, warehouse and material handling operations, methods and practices.
  • Experience using shipping software (UPS/FedEx) preferred.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with bar coding equipment.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with AX or other ERP System a plus.

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • General work is in an office environment
  • Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
  • Able to move effectively and timely between external office buildings and in and around 70,000+ square foot cement floored manufacturing facilities
